Vibe announced today that Eminem is the winner of the Best Rapper Alive competition. Even though it’s been four years since Eminem released an album, he beat out Jay-Z in the final round with 69% of the votes. The results of the contest will be printed in Vibe’s November issue hitting newsstands on October 21st.

In response to winning, Eminem said, “It’s obviously an honor to have won the fans’ support by being voted the Best Rapper Alive. I don’t think that there is any one rapper that is simply the best though. Everyone who was in consideration and many others are the best at certain things, and at what they do. But since Vibe’s offering the distinction, hell yeah I’ll accept!”

Other contenders included Nas, Kanye West, T.I. and Rick Ross. Do you think Eminem deserves the win?
