Kevin Costner and wife of four years, Christine Baumgartner, are expecting their second child, Entertainment Tonight has confirmed.
 


The Oscar-winning actor/director, 53, and Baumgartner, a handbag designer, have a son, Cayden, 17 months. Costner has four other children from two previous relationships.

The couple married on September 25, 2004 at his ranch in Aspen, Colorado in front of celebrity pals including Bruce Willis.

Earlier this summer, the Swing Vote star, whose album with country rock band Modern West is due out in November, opened up to Parade magazine about his fear of marrying again and having more children.

For years, fear kept me from marrying Christine," he said. "Christine wanted a child, but I was afraid I couldn't be an effective father."


He soon changed his mind when he thought to himself, "'Am I going to lose a beautiful woman who is willing to be with me to my very last breath because I am afraid to say yes to a child?' That's all it took. I decided that I was not going to miss out on love."
